Through managing funders' collaboratives focused on several fields in the social-justice sector, PIP occupies a unique vantage point that allows it to identify and nurture key networks and alliances among diverse constituencies. PIP leverages this position by bringing people and organizations together to make each fund, PIP and the broader social-justice field stronger and more effective.

PIP also adds value to its collaborative and partner funds through capacity-building tools and strategies designed to increase the impact and visibility of grantees. In this way, PIP is able to "prototype" methodologies, strategies and tools within one fund which can later be expanded and adapted to strengthen efforts across other collaborative funds.
